dadanddaughters

It's been a long time since I've been here. Daughters have grown. Can't express how proud I am of them. Forgot to tell them enough, how much I love all of them. Some friends are still here, others moved on. At least one gone for good. I Joined four years ago with my head in the sand and my eyes blind to what I had. Now the sand has gone and I see clearly with the clarity of hindsight. I shall lurk a while, catching up with the fantastic creativity to be found here.

With the eldest still in South Africa  and not due back for another week, me and the tribe are off on the family invasion of lake garda that she should have been on as well. Amongst other things, she has done a skydive, a 700ft bungee jump, cavorted with a rock group for two weeks and is now settled in a game reserve. I plan to read a book, try the pool and eat cake. There now appears to be a very large generation gap. A bit of an odd two weeks. My eldest daughter Mikey712vs (https://www.deviantart.com/mikey712vs) got a phone call last Thursday week giving her the opportunity to go to South Africa and do some film projects for five weeks. Obviously this was out of the question because only a complete moron would try and put together such a quest in 8 days. Morons that we are, it was a to good a chance to miss so a flight was arranged and I waved bye bye to her on Saturday evening from Heathport Airrow and got a call a 2pm the next day to say she was knackered but believed she was in Cape Town.
